All surgeries are by appointment.  Our fully computerised appointment system allows you generally to see any doctor of your choice when booking ahead.

Please telephone 01505 683591 from 08:30 to 13:00 or 14:00 - 17:30 or call at the reception desk to make an appointment. You may consult any doctor and we will always try to offer an appointment on the day you request. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to keep an appointment, as we will be able to offer it to another patient.

Arriving late

Appointments are booked at ten minute intervals. We ask that you arrive on time for your appointment so as not to cause delays to other patients who do arrive on time. If you arrive late you may be asked to reschedule your appointment. If we have your up to date mobile number you will receive a text reminder of your appointment time.

We would like to make our patients aware, that to accommodate the increased demand for urgent on the day appointments, the number of routine appointments has reduced. This will increase the waiting time for routine booked ahead appointments.

Urgent Appointments

If you have a pressing medical problem that cannot wait for a routine appointment, please phone before 10:30am and make this known to the receptionist at the time of the request.  We do our very best to fit in urgent problems, but a choice of doctor is not usually possible in that instance.  Please do your best to help us to help you.

Sick children will always be seen as soon as possible if brought to the surgery.  If in doubt about bringing the child to the surgery, please speak to a doctor.

Reason for appointment

Please be aware that if you are calling for an appointment for an eye problem, dental problem, possible urine infection or to request a sick line, then please inform our receptionists of this. They will then be able to signpost you to the appropriate services.

Telephone Advice

If you would like advice from a doctor please phone and request a telephone appointment. If you require urgent advice please make the receptionist aware of the nature of your problem.

Home Visits

If you are too unwell to attend or be brought to the surgery please phone before 10:30. This enables the doctors to plan their visits. Home visits are for those who are housebound or are too ill to be moved from the house. House visits are not done because transport is inconvenient. For urgent home visits please phone 01505 683333. All patients phoning for home visits may be asked some brief details by the receptionist to help the doctor prioritise and you may be asked to speak to a doctor when you phone.

Urgent Visits

Please phone 01505 683333 between 08:00 and 17:30 Mon to Fri.

GP Registrars In The Practice

The practice takes an active role in teaching and training of new General Practitioners. These doctors, who are fully qualified, are receiving experience in General practice. They are usually attached to the practice for blocks of 6 months or a year depending upon where they are in their training.
